Excellent service, great location, watching the swifts feeding in the evening. The food is fantastic, I really enjoyed not having to choose from a menu - just tell them what you are allergic to - or hate with a passion - then be surprised.

Loved the location with views over the surrounding countryside. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They are all obviously very proud of their guesthouse and cafe, and rightly so. The evening meal was superb as was thr local beer. The breakfast was the best breakfast buffet we had had on our trip.

We arrived well into the evening and we were offered a table in the restaurant - away from a large (noisy-ish) group. Our twin bedded room was spacious.

Comfortable & welcoming feeling of being in the country with better accommodations than we had in the cities we visited. Wish we could have stayed longer & just relaxed. We were visiting relatives there so not on the premises much of the time.

Exceptional spot. Scenic with lots of historical interest. Nicest hotel of our entire trip in Norway. Don't be put off by the shared bathroom - it was spotlessly clean and well-maintained.
